What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
Peter Rabbit is my favorite!
What is your favorite children's book?
My favorite children's book is "Heidi" because of the main character’s love for nature and her ability to bring so much joy to others.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toy was my pink bike, that had a long banana seat and very tall orange flag. Riding my bike gave me a sense of adventure, freedom, and joy.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My patients are my greatest inspiration because of their incredible bravery and resilience when they face health challenges.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My hobbies and interests include volunteering at local community centers, reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my son and retired Marine spouse.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I love children, I love their sincerity and bluntness, and I love their courage! I am passionate about guiding families through the different stages of their child’s life, accompanying them through illnesses, and sharing their joy as they set off to explore the world. I am honored and truly enjoy being part of their life journey!
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
Services that set me apart from other providers is that I am a strong believer in the holistic approach to prevention, treatment, and recovery, and I am passionate about understanding and addressing the “body, mind, and spirit” of my patients, while using evidence-based medicine, to provide compassionate care. In addition, as a native Spanish speaker (my family is from Argentina), I am able to serve a more diverse set of families.
Teamwork is the key component of my patient care philosophy. It involves active listening, gathering and interpreting information, making a well-informed decision and a compassionate plan of care in partnership with the parents. Together, we navigate through the unique health needs of the child.
