I’ve been bringing both my son and daughter to this practice for 7 years. I’ve had a chance to survey mostly all of the doctors and nurse practitioners. This is one of the best pediatric offices in Bakersfield. The moment you enter the facility, you are greeted and checked-in. Wait time in the waiting room is no longer than five minutes. All of the doctor’s are very professional, friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. The nurse practitioners are also phenomenal. Among my favorite are: A new, Latin doctor with a Cuban accent. named Dr. Berruecos. He genuinely cared about my five year-old daughter, and was sincerely interested in helping her heal. He developed a plan to help her avoid going to the ER in the future. He focused on prevention and took his time explaining what her future treatment plan would be. He listened to my concerns and took his time as he checked her. My favorite Nurse Practitioner is Rachel Hayes. Her genuine interest and sweet demeanor calm any child. She is patient, listens to concerns, and does a phenomenal job checking both of my kids. She has been my all-time favorite for five years. My kids love her and excited when they see her. A memorable moment was when Rachel dressed as Jessie, a character from Toy Story. My four year-old daughter was so excited. It was so much fun to see her enjoy her visit so much. The doctors are all great too. Dr. Amin, Dr. Shah, and Nurse Brandon. I like that the office has two entrances adjacent to each other. If your child is ill, you enter through the left door. If your child is well and is there for routine check-ups, you use the right door. Every single time I have taken both of my children, I have never been disappointed. All staff, including the receptionists are professional. If your child is very ill and needs pediatric attention, the receptionists have kind hearts and manage to give you same-day appointments. I drive 50 miles to visit this practice. The quality care is worth it in my point of view. I trust the professionals in this practice. They are a great team. I hope they continue with such professionalism. Thank you for your outstanding service, Southwest Pediatrics, now Coastal Kids.
