The Magic Treehouse. The author made it easy for me as child to use my imagination and feel like I was a part of each adventure I read about.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
Transformers
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My parents inspire me due to the countless sacrifices they made to ensure a better life for me.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I enjoy reading about history and going out on walks with my family and my puppy.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I enjoy seeing children and families grow up and developing that long term connection with them as they navigate different parts of their child's life. I am passionate about newborn care and I have learned that supporting and uplifting new parents is every bit as important as
making sure that the baby is healthy. I truly enjoy my calling of being a physician and educator in the dynamic between families and their children.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I believe in transparency of information and knowledge with my patients. I truly believe in shared decision making with my patients/parents. I respect the values and personal beliefs that parents have and I seek a middle ground where evidence based medicine can support those personal values.
