What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movie is The Little Mermaid.
What is your favorite children's book?
Goodnight Moon, It is one that I read to my children each night when they were little.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toys were Barbie dolls and LEGOs.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My brother, he was born with cerebral palsy and fought a lot of challenges throughout his life.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Spending time with my family and grandchildren, going to Disney and watching my daughter on her competitive cheer team.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I got my passion for pediatrics while I was a school nurse. It was then that I found out that I loved working with children. I love watching them grow from infants to adults.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I listen to the patient and the parents, and put their needs above all others. Parents know their children best, and I want what is absolutely best for them and their health and wellbeing.
How do you accommodate patients with special needs?
My brother was special needs. I take an approach that the child deserves to be treated just like any other child we see.
