What is your favorite animated movie or cartoon?
My favorite animated movie is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
What is your favorite children's book?
The Runaway Bunny, because my mother read it to me and my siblings often and the story felt so loving.
What was your favorite childhood toy?
My favorite childhood toy were LEGOs.
Who is your greatest inspiration?
My husband, who lives with integrity and intentional efforts to grow and learn, is my greatest inspiration.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Cooking, Salsa dancing, running, traveling and taking care of interesting plants.
What inspired you to work in pediatrics?
I became interested in pediatrics after a clinical rotation in PA school. I observed the beautiful relationship that the pediatrician had with his patients and the family. I find it beautiful to have impact on and to support the whole family unit.
What unique qualities, skills, or services set you apart, and how do you build a positive rapport with patients and their families?
I hope to create a safe space for questions, no matter how "small" they are. I believe in the provider's role as an educator and as a trusted source of information, and I hope to make the family feel an equal member in the decision making team.
