My favorite animated movie is Tangled.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar because I remember loving the vibrant graphics.

My favorite childhood toys were Barbie dolls—I think I had a total of 30 Barbies at one point.

My mother—because she is an extraordinary friend, a selfless and devoted mom, and a driven, hardworking woman who crossed the world for love. She has always encouraged me to work hard, believe in myself, and pursue my dreams with courage and determination.

Camping in our 1988 VW Westfalia fan, traveling, taking our dog to the beach, going on a picnic during sunset, making sourdough bread, and cooking new recipes.

It may be, in part, because my parents were elementary and middle school teachers, but I’ve always felt drawn to working with children. I started babysitting at a young age and continued seeking out roles centered on kids, serving as a YMCA camp counselor, providing after-school tutoring, and caring for a teenager with a chronic medical condition. By the time I entered nursing school, I was fairly certain I wanted to become a pediatric nurse. After completing clinical rotations across a range of age groups, that conviction only deepened: pediatrics was where I belonged. I love working with children because they experience the world through such unique lenses, and there’s something deeply meaningful about earning their trust and building connection through play.

I’m naturally extroverted and genuinely enjoy partnering with parents and their children. Through visits with my German family, I’ve had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe, and I also spent five years working in South Los Angeles alongside families from diverse communities across Mexico, Central America, and South America. Together, these experiences have deepened my cultural awareness and broadened my perspective on the many ways people live, communicate, and understand health and healing.
Being immersed in different cultures has reinforced the importance of individualized, family- centered care. I recognize that each parent may approach health, illness, and treatment through a distinct lens, and I strive to meet families with curiosity, respect, and humility. I value building authentic connections so patients and parents feel truly seen and known. I work to establish rapport by empowering parents, coming alongside them as a supportive team member in their child’s care, and ensuring every question and concern is heard and addressed.

I have a decade of experience working with children with special needs and children who are neurodivergent. I approach each child as an individual, meeting them where they are developmentally and tailoring care to their unique strengths and challenges. I listen closely to parents and caregivers who know their child best and partner with them to provide support and connect them with the resources they need. Above all, I aim to optimize each child’s access to developmental services and early supports, so they have every opportunity to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
