AMY CANOS COX, M.D., FAAP
Amy Canos Cox, M.D., FAAP, is a Board certified Pediatrician and
Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been practicing
in Southern California since 2001. Dr. Cox graduated magna cum laude
from Kenyon College with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and
Physiological Psychology, and received her medical degree from Ohio
State University. She completed her internship and residency training
at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where she received outstanding
commendations. Dr. Cox received "Excellence in Research" awards for
research in post-operative critical care management of children
undergoing congenital heart surgery.
Dr. Cox has special interests in
neonatology, growth and development, and early speech and language
acquisition. She has volunteered as camp physician for children with
juvenile diabetes. Dr. Cox studied Tropical Medicine and completed
rotations in Infectious Disease, Neonatology, and Pediatric Critical
Care in Central America. Dr. Cox's hobbies include photography, travel
and spending free time with her husband, son and daughter.
